USHERS at the
Roundhouse Community Centre or Tinseltown Cinemas
VENUE SET UP AND STRIKE:
Decorate venue, hang signs, set up tables and chairs.
Mon,
March 3 6:00pm – 10:00 pm Set up at the Roundhouse
Community Centre
Fri, March 7 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
Strike festival.
Sat, March 8 8:30 -11:00 am Set up
at International Village
Sat, March 8 5:00-9:00 pm Strike
festival.
HOSPITALITY ASSIGNMENTS:
For people who are outgoing and enjoy working with foreign
guests who may not know English.
CLASSROOM AMBASSADORS:
Set up classroom. Greet workshop instructor, help unload
car, carry equipment, provide refreshments. Guide students
to designated workshop. Introduce instructor before the
start of workshop. Thank the instructor at the end of the
class. Hand out evaluations for teachers to fill out. Clean
up classroom.
HOST: Provide
information, directions and distribute brochures and literature
about Reel to Real. Help students and teachers find workshops,
facilities, and assist any of the instructors. Help serve
lunch to volunteers and instructors.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT:
Help set up equipment and problem-solve when something is
not working.
PROMOTION:
Assist with program distribution. Create signage and hang
posters.
OFFICE: Need
an organized person with excellent writing skills. Answer
the phones, take messages, and prepare mail-outs. Fluency
in Mandarin or French is an asset.
