REEL FOCUS: The Art & Science of Filmmaking

Workshops offer students the opportunity to learn from professional filmmakers, while they gain a practical, interactive introduction to the filmmaking process.

Classes in the 10:00 am screening do their workshops at 11:30, and vice versa. Each class may select one workshop to do as a group (20-30 students).

Hands-on Digital Filmmaking
Practice video camera techniques and learn about the production process with local independent filmmaker Patrick Harrison.

Animate it!
Get animated in these hands-on workshops! Students will work in teams and explore the magic of cut-out animation and pixilation.

Storyboarding
Learn how to tell a story in 10 frames using digital cameras.
